Human Resources Director Theresa Young was recognized during the Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025 called meeting of the Ware County Board of Commissioners.
Young received the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA) Level II Certification as an Advanced Certified Human Resources Manager (ACHRM).
The presentation was made during the GLGPA’s Spring Conference at the Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge in Buford, June 10--13, 2025.
To achieve the ACHRM certification, Young completed 48 hours of instruction in classes and the completion of a multirater assessment instrument (Gov360) that collects ratings on behavioral competencies from multiple observers.
The GLGPA certification program is the only program in the State of Georgia whereby local government employees may become certified in the Human Resources field. It is sponsored by GLGPA and is administered by the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
