Jesus Says, “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.” Matthew 19:6 KJV On Saturday, September 6, 1975 at 4:00 p.m. joined in Holy Matrimony by the honorable Reverend D.E. Kelly in Fitzgerald, Georgia, Miss Dorothy Watts of Fitzgerald became the bride of Mr. Lee Otis Brinson of Waycross, Georgia. From that blessed day forward, the two became one: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Otis Brinson.

Dorothy and Otis first met at South Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia, during the 1970–71 school year.

Their friendship grew into a lasting love that carried them through their studies and on to Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, Georgia, where they both graduated.

Mrs. Dorothy Brinson went on to dedicate her life to education, teaching for 31 years in Millen, Douglas, and Waycross, Georgia. Even after retirement, her passion for children and learning led her to substitute teaching for an additional 10 years, totaling an incredible 41 years of service to education.

Mr. Lee Otis Brinson built a respected career as well and is widely known for his love of sports. Even after retiring from his professional career, he has continued to remain active as an umpire and community sports supporter. A true sports enthusiast, he has invested his time and talents in guiding and inspiring many young athletes.

The Brinsons are members of Emmanuel’s International Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Inc. in Waycross, Georgia, under the leadership of Bishop Michael-Angelo James. Their faith in God has been the foundation of their marriage, their family, and their lives together.

God has blessed their union with 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren, 1 son-inlaw and 1 daughter-in-law.

The family will celebrate this special occasion together, giving God all the praise, glory, and honor. Truly, it has been the Lord who has been the foundation of their marriage. Without Him, they would not have made it this far. God did it—thank You, Lord!
