Mobbing Pierce businesses

New chamber intitiative surprises and supports

A mob invaded My Cozy Little Corner Friday — but it was a good kind of mob.

The Pierce County Chamber of Commerce launched its very first “Pierce the Market Mob” at the My Cozy Little Corner.

“(Our) group of locals spent $699.23 during their visit. What a way to mob a local business! Such a great way to keep our money in Pierce,” said Chamber Executive Director Christi Pitts.

The Pierce the Market Mob is a project of the Pierce Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has started the monthly event where a group of ambassadors, board members and local supporters show up for a surprise visit to a local business in Pierce County.

The business is randomly drawn by the chamber.

Pitts said the chamber is looking forward to the next Market Mob and she encourages chamber members to participate in the project.

For more information, call or email the chamber at (912) 449-7044 or piercechamberofcommerce@ gmail.com.
