CANEY BAY — Brantley County was unable to find its footing on a rainy Friday night falling for a 15th consecutive time to neighboring Pierce County, ranked second in Class AA. Quarterback Kaden Hendrix (12), escaping a fierce pass rush in the first quarter, gained 54 yards rushing to lead the Herons’ (0-3) offense in a 44-0 loss. Payton Hanchey’s (10) block of a PCHS defender allowed Hendrix to escape. BCHS travels Friday night to Vidalia to face the winless Indians. To read about the game turn to Page 6.
