Faith-based facility supports men recovering from addiction

Jesus and Jam of Clinch County held a special Open House Sunday, August 17 to celebrate and formally dedicate The Exodus House recovery facility to God’s service.

Attendees toured the facility, heard testimonies of the devasting impact that addiction has on individuals and families, and all joined in prayer as the ministry dedicated the building to its mission.

The mission of The Exodus House is to provide a faith-based home of love, acceptance, and accountability for men who’ve completed drug recovery programs and are ready to transition back into society.

Exodus House is not just a shelter, but a home where men are discipled, encouraged, and supported as they grow in Christ. The program believes every man deserves the chance to rebuild his life with dignity and purpose.

It’s mission is rooted in three core commitments:

Discipleship: Guiding men to know Christ personally and walk as His followers;

Restoration: Helping residents rebuild their lives, families, and futures on a foundation of faith;

Reintegration: Equipping men with structure, accountability, and resources to successfully reenter the workforce and community.

The goal is not only to house men, but to make disciples, sending them back into the world as living testimonies of God’s grace.

“This dedication is not about walls and windows,” said founder Lajuanta Mattox. “It’s about what God will do through this place. Jesus and Jam has always been about meeting people with love, hope, and the Word of God — and today we give this ministry back to Him.

“The Exodus House is not just a house, but a home. Our mission is to make disciples and help men build a new life with Christ at the center.”

Donations for the program are being accepted at Jesus and Jam of Clinch County, 75 Hampton Street, Homerville, Ga., 31634.
