WAYCROSS — Kenya Brege Sandy, 34 of Waycross, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Pahokee, Fla. Ms. Sandy’s parents were Kenneth Brege and Cynthia Dunn Young. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Lavon Dickey; and her aunt Charmaine.
Ms. Sandy worked many years as a CNA and loved playing Pokémon Go, watching movies, riding dirt roads, cleaning the house, sitting around a fire and listening to music. She also loved going to the river and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Kason Sandy and Allen Sandy, both of Waycross; three sisters, Dawn Deen of Waycross, Jessica Young of Panama City, Fla., and Melinda Byrd of Okeechobee, Fla.; her maternal grandmother, Barbara Ann Baxter of Okeechobee, Fla.; her fiancé, Tim Hoffer of Camden County; and nieces and nephews, Dakota Feldpusch (Yasmeen Casavant) and Brianna Villarrea (Chanceler Shepherd); also several aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
No services will be held at this time.
