Ed Gill Jr.

Ed Gill Jr.

Ed Gill Jr., 53, of Waycross, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, August 17, 2025, in Waycross.
Born January 10, 1972, in Fernandina Beach, Florida, he  spent most of his life in Brantley County. He worked for many years in the flooring and drywall business, earning a reputation for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand.
He had a passion for fishing, metal detecting, and discovering old treasures — hobbies that reflected his love for the outdoors and appreciation for the past. Above all, his greatest pride was in being a father. He dearly loved his two sons, Triston and Dalton, who saw him as the best dad anyone could ask for.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Edward “Curly” Gill Sr., and a brother, Josh Fulford.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Triston Gill and Dalton Gill, both of Waycross; his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Dennis Fulford III, Waycross; five sisters, Kim (Bill) Jenson, Fernandina Beach, Charitie (Scott) Allen, Waycross, Crystal Gill and Carrie Gill, both of Fernandina Beach and Samantha Spivey, Blackshear; two brothers, Joseph (Brooke) Spivey, Blackshear and Bubba (Chelsea) Spivey, Waycross; two special nieces, Tessa Ferguson and Sierra Ferguson; two great-nieces, Allie Melton and Ayla Smiley; a great-nephew, Kyler O’Quinn and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 21, at the funeral home.
A private interment will take place at Enon Cemetery.
Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online guestbook at www.pearsondial.com.
Pearson-Dial Funeral Home of Blackshear is in charge of arrangements.
