The Pierce County Lady Bears volleyball team captured three of its four matches played rebounding from a slow start to the season.
PCHS (4-6 overall, 2-0 Region 3-AA) played at Brantley County High School Tuesday, August 12 winning matches against the Lady Herons and region member Tattnall County.
The Lady Bears knocked Brantley County 25-9, 25-10 and beat the Lady Warriors 25-5, 2517.
Pierce County traveled Thursday, August 14 to Cordele for a region matchup with Crisp County and Class 3A Mary Persons.
PCHS outlasted the Lady Cougars winning 2725, 25-21. The Lady Bears fell 27-29, 25-23, 19-17 in a tight match with Mary Persons.
All six losses by Pierce County have been to higher classification schools.
Pierce County plays Tuesday, August 19 in Tifton against host Class 6A Tift County and Class 4A Ware County. The Lady Bears will be at home Thursday, August 21 hosting regionmate Appling County, Brantley County and Valdosta.
PCHS travels Tuesday, August 26 to St. Simons Island for a match with Frederica Academy and Habersham. The Lady Bears travel Thursday, August 28 to Valdosta to face Lowndes and Brunswick.
