Long, Castoe to wed in September 6 rites

The engagement and approaching marriage of Allie Caroline Long of Calhoun to Samuel Wyatt Castoe of Calhoun has been announced.

Long is the daughter of Alison Turner Long of Blackshear and Troy W. Long of Valdosta. Castoe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Castoe of Ellijay.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sylvia Smith Turner of Blackshear and the late James Lamar Turner as well as Lanelle Plaza of Moultrie and Mr. and Mrs. James Long of Yulee, FL.

Long attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelors in Management of Business Administration. She also attended the University of West Georgia and has a Masters of Business Administration in Data Analytics. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She currently works at a consulting firm as a sales force consultant.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs Dan Beard of Marietta, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Elrod of Chatsworth.

Castoe attended the University of West Georgia and has a Bachelors of Science in Sports Management. He is a helicopter pilot and certified flight instructor at Sevier County Choppers and is employed by 3-Alarm Pressure Washing.

The couple will marry at 4 p.m. September 6 at The Woodlands at Five Gables in Birchwood, TN.

A reception will follow the ceremony. Invitations have been mailed.
