Clarence Boykins

UNDATED — Clarence Boykins passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton following a lengthy illness.

Boykins was born May 5, 1963 to the late Louvenia White and Ernest Boykins in Hoboken. In his earlier childhood years, he attended school in DelRay Beach, Fla. He graduated from Wayne County Public School System.

Boykins served in the U.S. Army for 2 1/2 years. He was self-employed as an independent trucker and operated under Boykins Trucking Company.

He will forever be remembered for being a well-dressed, debonair kind of guy that he was.

Boykins was preceded in death by both of his parents; his stepfather, Paul Spellman; his sister, Michelle Boykins; his brothers, Lester and Sammy Boykins; and his grandfather, Charlie White.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan Boykins; his two daughters, Yalonda and Rachel Boykins; his stepchildren, Derrick Boles, Michael Smith and Dominque Boles; his nieces, Tamisha, Katisha, Amber and Dasha; his nephews, Richard and Samuel Boykins, Jr.; his grandchildren, Cam’ron, Serenity, Rylan, Nassiah and Emanuel Boykins, and Nehemiah Smalls; a close friend and caregiver, Nikeyla Morgan; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him immensely.

A viewing will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel in Jesup from 5-7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2 p.m., at St. John First Born Holiness Church in Jesup.

Interment was in Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery.

Services will be live streamed on the royalfuneralhome. com website.

Royal Funeral Home in Jesup was in charge of arrangements.
