NAHUNTA – Reba “Gail” Williams Cleland, 72 of Nahunta, passed away early Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Folkston, Mrs. Cleland’s parents were Burney Willard Williams and Ruby Idell Knox Williams. She is also preceded in death by her husband, whom she loved dearly, Terry Wannis Cleland, Sr.; a granddaughter, Destiny Nicole Stewart; two sisters, Mildred O’Neal and Mary Jane Williams; and three brothers, Edward Williams, Thomas Williams and Donnie Williams.
Mrs. Cleland was a salesclerk and a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. She loved her family, watching football and canning.
Survivors include her five children, Terry Wannis Cleland, Jr., Chelsea Nicole Cleland both of

Nahunta, Reba Diane Cleland of Valdosta, Rebecca Gail Dawson of Waynesville and John Harper of Virgina; many grandchildren; brother and sister- in-law, Ernest Williams (Shirley) of Colorado; a sister, Shirley Clark of Yulee, Fla.; special nieces, Colleen O’Neal of Nahunta, and Catina Mills and Emily Clark both of Yulee, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Linda Willaims of New York; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held Monday morning, August 11, 2025 at Bethlehem Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Knox officiating.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
