BRUNSWICK — The drowning of a 16-month-old Glynn County toddler is still under investigation by the Glynn County Police Department.
Emersyn Maize Williams, the daughter of Christopher Bryson Williams and Katlyn Hannah Drury of Brunswick, reportedly drowned in a backyard swimming pool at a house in Laurel Grove Plantation in the southern portion of the county.
Glynn County police officers responded Saturday, August 2 shortly before 8 p.m., to conduct a death investigation, a spokesperson for the department said.
Glynn County Fire and Rescue personnel were on the scene, but resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.
No criminal activity was suspected, a spokesperson said. Investigators are still sorting out what happened and how with the death investigation is ongoing.
Williams has family members who live in Brantley County.
