BCHS Class of 1975 announces 50th reunion on September 20 at Honey Buns 

NAHUNTA — The Brantley County High School Class of 1975 announces a 50th class reunion to be held on Saturday, September 20 beginning at 5 p.m. at Honey Buns Cafe in Nahunta.

A steak and seafood buffet is planned so mark your calendar now. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Satillariverkeeper announces clean-up Saturday, Sept. 2 from 9-11 a.m.

NAHUNTA — Satillariverkeeper his holding its annual riverwide cleanup Saturday, September 27 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

There are eight sites: Jamestown, Woodbine, Hwy. 158, Burnt Fort, Hwy. 301, Hwy. 121, Hwy. 64 and Hwy. 82.

If you are needing assistance with essential household supplies, school supplies, or winter gear please give us a call at 912-462-5163 or 912-4625979 to schedule your appointment.

Assistance is given by appointments on a first come, first served basis.

Open Mondays from 9am until 12:30pm. Striving to assist low-income households in Brantley County with essentials to give a step toward a better future.

Needed documents:

• Goverment ID

• Social Security Cards for everyone in household

• Proof of all income

• Power bill for proof of residency

OHC writer’s group has new meeting schedule, meets twice in August 

September 16 The Okefenokee Heritage Center's OHC Writers has a new meeting schedule. Meetings will be held the third Tuesday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. The September meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 16. Writers of all experience levels and genres are welcome!
