An August 23 Back to School Bash and Hurricane Preparedness event will feature lots of ways to have fun— and learn how to keep safe this hurricane season.
The joint effort by Pierce Chamber of Commerce, Pierce Rec Department, T-Mobile and SAVD Toys, takes place 10 am – 6 pm at the NFC gym, 705 College Avenue in Blackshear. Entry is $5 for a chance to win first, second and third place and overall champion of the Nintendo Smash Bros. tourney. There is also a cosplay contest for ages 5-9 with a surprise judge to help pick the winner.
Food is provided by the rec. department. Funnel cakes will be available from A&J Funnel Cakes and music by Special guest DJ KrystalEyes of Vintage J’s Music and Apparel.
