PATTERSON — Mr. Harley Waters, 77, died Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his residence in Patterson.
He was born July 29, 1948 in Waycross to the late Lawrence Waters and Dorothy Mae McCrae Waters. He was formerly employed by Satilla Regional Medical Center as a security guard, and he owned and operated Waters Tree Service. He was known as a hard-working man who was a “jack-of-all-trades” and enjoyed piddling with scrap metal.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Scurry Waters.
Survivors include his sons, Wendell Waters (Renee) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Timothy Waters (Teresa) of Blackshear, Tony Waters (Theresa) of Blackshear, and Kenny Waters (Monica) of Patterson; grandchildren, Isaac Waters, Jay Waters, Kayla Waters, Jason Waters, Alyssa Johnson, Brianna Waters, and Carrie Waters; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Courson Carroll (late Glenn) of Hawkinsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, August 15 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Telmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
