DOTHAN, Ala. — Gwendolyn Stephens Dyal, 62, of Dothan, Ala., passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Dothan.
Born in Waycross, she was the daughter of the late James Lester Stephens, Sr. and Georgina Alberta Anthony Stephens. Ms. Dyal graduated from Ware County High School and spent several years living in Jacksonville, Fla., where she worked at a donut shop, before settling in Dothan.
She is survived by her son, Royal Dyal IV of Macon, Ga; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Stephens, Jr. of Dothan, and Gordon Clarence Stephens of Dalton, Ga.; her former mother-in-law, Nancy Sasser, and former sisterin- law, Gayla Morrison, both of Waycross; nephews, James Stephens III, Jared Stephens, and Christopher Patrick; and niece, Christina Stephens.
Ms. Dyal will be memorialized by cremation.
