Sorority presents debutante info The Waycross Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will hold an informational meeting from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 16 at 2101 Tebeau Street for its debutante and junior debutante programs.

The Delta G.E.M.S. (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully) program is open to high school girls ages 14-18.

Unison Directors meeting Aug. 21 The Unison Behavioral Health Board of Directors will hold a board meeting at noon, Thursday, August 21 in the Board Room, 1007 Mary Street.

Aging council sets meeting Aug. 27 The Aging Advisory Council of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 27 at the Nashville Community Center, 102 North Jefferson Street.

‘Create with a Cop’ art class set Aug. 23 The Waycross Police Department will stage “Create with a Cop: Brush with the Law” art class from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 23 at the police department, 512 Oak Street.

The free event on painting with oil is for ages 12-17. Registration forms are available in the front lobby of WPD.

Early registration is encouraged as space is limited.

Ware ’59, ’60 grads hold Meet & Greet The Ware County High School Classes of 1959 and ’60 will hold a Meet & Greet, Dutch Treat at noon, Friday, August 22 at M-Macs, 2330 Memorial Drive.
