Warren A. Johnston

HOBOKEN — Warren A. Johnston, Jr., 76, of Hoboken died Saturday morning, August 2, 2025, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.

He was born in Waycross to the late Warren A. Johnston, Sr. and Wilma Seymour Johnston and made Waycross his home for most of his life. Johnston served his country faithfully in the United States Army and retired from CSX Transportation as a carman.

He loved race cars and working on them, he also collected antiques. In his later years, he enjoyed a good cruise with his loving late wife Anna Sports Johnston.

Johnston is survived by two children, Chris Johnston, wife Diane, of Moultrie, Ga., and Lisa Johnston

Clark, husband Lee, of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Bryce Johnston, wife Karen, Caron Johnston, Quinton Brooks, wife Ashley, and Brittany Jackson; six great grandchildren, Jace, Lucas, Kandler, Spurgeon, Colt, Walker; a sister, Linda Robbins, husband Richard, of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, August 6) in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.

A burial will take place at Kettle Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
