Satilla cleanup set next month

Dumping and littering are problems throughout the Satilla River watershed.

Whether it starts in a yard, street, or outside a dumpster, once heavy rains come, trash is carried to streams and rivers. Litter impacts recreational paddlers, boaters and fishermen, riverfront properties, wildlife, and downstream communities.

Each year, the Satilla Riverkeeper hosts an annual, river-wide cleanup to target the chronic trash found at popular access points to the river.
