Warren A. Johnston, Jr.

HOBOKEN — Warren A. Johnston, Jr., 76 of Hoboken died Saturday morning, August 2, 2025 at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended

illness.

Johnston was born in Waycross to the late Warren A. Johnston, Sr. and Wilma Seymour Johnston. He made Waycross his home for most of his life.

Johnston served his country faithfully in the United States Army and retired from CSX as a carman. He loved race cars and working on them and also collected antiques. In his later years he enjoyed a good cruise with his loving late wife, Anna Sports Johnston.

Johnston is survived by two children, Chris Johnston and wife Diane of Moultrie and Lisa Clark and husband Lee of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Bryce Johnston and wife Karen, Caron Johnston, Quinton Brooks and wife Ashley, and Brittany Jackson; six great grandchildren, Jace, Lucas, Kandler, Spurgeon, Colt and Walker; a sister, Linda Robbins and husband Richard of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held today (Wednesday, August 6, 2025) at 2 p.m., in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will take place at Kettle Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m.
