CALLAHAN, Fla. — Joe Ann Howell, 82 of Callahan, Fla., passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 in Fernandina Beach, Fla., following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Howell was born May 24, 1943 in Starke, Fla., to the late Roy Christopher Johnson, Sr. and Leona Addison Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Rowe, Louise Richardson and Vivian Wofford; and three brothers, Billy Johnson, Roy Johnson, Jr., and Lonnie Johnson Mrs. Howell is survived by her children, Earl Howell (Lorraine), Jean Tierney Howell
(David), Erik Howell, Jerri Nash (George), Terri Mathis (Shelby) and Richard Howell (Laura); three sisters, Pansy Burnett, Bonnie Davis (Jim) and Sharon McCormick; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 30 in the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Trey Keene officiating.
Burial followed in High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken.
