Pierce 4-H’ers attend State Congress

Two Pierce County 4H’ers recently competed at the 82nd Annual 4-H State Congress. Alayda Anderson competed in the health project and Paige Folette in the workforce prep and career development project. Two other attendees from Pierce, special event winners Jerri Beth Mullis and Eli Locklear, were recognized for their achievements.

Other Pierce County 4-H special event winners recognized at the event included Eli Chesser, Austin Brymer, Gad Deprater, Aleeah Eason and Allie Herrin.

4-H State Congress is made possible by contributions from various organizations. Major sponsors include Georgia’s EMCs, Georgia 4-H Foundation, and Georgia Master 4-H Club. Georgia 4-H Pillar and Presenting Sponsors include the Harley Langdale Jr. Foundation, Inc., Premium Peanut, Kelly Loeffler, META, and Chemours.

Georgia 4-H empowers youth to become true leaders by developing necessary life skills, positive relationships and community awareness. 4-H reaches hundreds of thousands of people annually through UGA Extension offices and 4-H facilities.
