Richard Brooks ‘Ric’ Wilson

WAYCROSS — Mr. Richard Brooks “Ric” Wilson, 72, passed away Friday night, July 25, 2025, at Hospice House Satilla.

He was born September 1, 1952 in Waycross to the late Benjamin H. Wilson, Jr. and Evelyn Matthews Wilson. Wilson graduated from Waycross High School in 1970, and he received a forestry degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College/University of Georgia.

He was formerly employed by Carolina Skiff as the safety director. His passions were hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, going to Fernandina Beach, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs. Years ago, he attended Trinity Methodist Church, and he played in the Believers and Brass Band.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Patricia Wilson; and his beloved pet, Abbie dog.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Angela Williams Wilson of Waycross; his beloved pet, Gracie; brother, Tripp Wilson (Antonio Aque) of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother-in-law, Marian Williams of Waycross; and numerous other relatives.

A celebration of life was held Tuesday, July 29 at Music Funeral Home.
