WAYCROSS — Linda Charlene Anderson Thrift, 73, of Waycross, died Wednesday evening, July 16, 2025, at her residence after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Thrift was born in Brunswick to the late William “Bill” And erson and Etta Mae Adams Anderson, and made Waycross her home for most of her life. She was an exceptional homemaker and enjoyed a good crime show and Dr. Phil.
She was a member of Swamp Road Baptist Church where she participated in many of the womens’ activities.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by six siblings, Nancy Nimmo, Willie Mae Anderson, Mary Lizzie Mosley, Dorothy Lee Harrell, Larry Anderson, and Steve Anderson.
Mrs. Thrift is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Coley Thrift of Waycross; three children, Angela Colene Thrift of Blackshear, Andy Thrift, wife Kimberly, of Brantley County, and Randel Thrift, wife Ashley, of Waycross; seven grandchildren, Abigail Denton, Bailey Denton, Jack Thrift, Tyler Thrift, Evlyn Thrift, Coley Thrift, and Riley Taft; a brother, Curtis Usher, wife Reba; as well as numerous nieces,

A funeral service was held July 21 at Swamp Road Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
