WAYCROSS — Mr. Ronald Edward Smith, 67, died Saturday night, July 26, 2025 at his residence after a brief illness.
Smith was born November 19, 1957 in Waycross to the late Benny Smith and Winnie Mae Jolly Smith. He attended Waycross High School.
Smith was formerly employed by General Housing, Clayton Homes, and ScotBilt Homes as a sidewall builder. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and watching the Atlanta Braves, NASCAR and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Annette Rose Kimmel Smith of Waycross; three children, Ronnie Edward Smith II (Lisa) of Blackshear, Wesley Benjamin Smith (Crystal) of Blackshear and Rocky Anthony Smith (Heather) of Waycross; grandchildren, Austin Smith, Brittany Smith, Emily and Kit Hall of Blackshear, Emma Eunice, Olivia Eunice, Gracie Smith, Colby Smith, Dixie Smith, Levi Smith, Gabriel Smith and Ashley Smith; great grandchildren, Delilah Eunice, Rhett Ryder Hall, Kayden Hurst, Lillyann Suitter and Penelope Smith; brother, Charles Smith of Atkinson; sisters, Betty Ann Howell of Waycross, Shirlon Lee of Hoboken and Evelyn Flowers of Waycross; best friend, Mike Yawn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorialization is by cremation.
