OCALA, Fla. — Amanda Lyn “Amy” Schwartz, 34, passed away November 16, 2022, in Ocala, Fla, following a ruptured aneurism while recuperating from surgery.
Through the gift of organ donation, she gave the gift of life to ano ther mother.
Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Ms. Schwartz was raised i n Brunswick and attended Brunswick High school. She was a homemaker and a loving and devoted mother and was Baptist by faith.
Ms. Schwartz’s love for daisies was so well known. She was affectionately nicknamed 'Daisy' by many of those closest to her.
Ms. Schwartz was survived by her finance, Richard Twist of Ocala, Fla.; her children, Aubree and Austin Wooten (now of Brunswick); mother, Lynette Johnson (Roger) of Brunswick; sister, Emily Diamond of Brunswick; brothers, Michael Ganten of Richmond Hill and Jeffery Schwartz (Donna) of Waynesville; aunts, Evelyn Smith, Jeannette Dice and Suzanne Benson; uncle, Jeffrey Benson (Veronica); and several nieces and nephews.
At the time of her passing, she was also survived by her father, Jeffrey Allen Schwartz, and her paternal grandmother, Rose Marie Zibrosky, who have since passed away.
Ms. Schwartz was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jacquelyn Herbert; maternal grandfather, Edgar Benson; and paternal grandfather, Norman Schwartz.
A graveside memorial service honoring Ms. Schwartz’s life will take place Friday, August 1, 2025 at 3:30 p.m., at Chapel Park Cemetery on Cate Road in Brunswick, where she will be laid to rest.

Raber (Johanna) and Edward Raber (Robin) both of Nahunta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christal White (Jason) and Laura Velie (Jason) both of Atkinson; 11 grandchildren, Linsi Raber, Alejandra Smith, Michael Velie, Colby White, Steven Velie, Bryson Raber, Damien Gutierrez, Aleah White, Eric Sims II, Leah Gutierrez and Jorge Gonzalez; two great grandchildren, Chelsea Raber and D.J. Lugo; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle Raber (Joyce) of Fremont, Ohio, Roy Raber (Jill) of Lake Butler, Fla., and Edward Raber (Donna) of Mayo, Fla.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra Davies (Don) and Carol English both of Fort White; also several other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
