NAHUNTA — Classic car aficionados lined up in front of the Brantley County Courthouse to showcase their vehicles to the public for the Nahunta Centennial Car Show Friday afternoon.

Those in attendance July 25, 2025 were given the opportunity to see machines from all eras and find out what's under the hood. Some of the vehicles on hand ranged from classics such as a 1954 Ford Custom Victoria to a 2021 Ford Mustang GT and everything else in between.

However, there was a blast from the past that stood out in the form of a 1949 Ford Pro Street car owned by Roger and Megan Sponaugle.

Roger’s story behind the ownership of his prized vehicle was one of sentimentality.

“I bought the car when I was in my 20s, sold it and 20 years later, I tracked it down and bought it back,' Sponaugle said.
