Edmond Leo Mingo, Jr.

WAYCROSS — Mr. Edmond Leo Mingo, Jr., 86, who being kept by the power of God, entered heaven’s portal because of the completed work of Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Mingo was born February 15, 1939 in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Edmond L. Mingo, Sr. and Lula Barnett Mingo. He was a former cameraman and film stripper for Action Graphics.

Mingo was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waycross. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School over the last 45 years before his declining years. One of the greatest chapters of his life was winning over his co-worker to Christ. Mingo knew no one was too far out of reach that God couldn’t save.

He loved his family and friends and enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his parents, Mingo was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean White Mingo; and a son, Stanley Allan Mingo.

He is survived by his son, Patrick Craig Mingo (Jan) of Waycross; three grandchildren, Aaron Mingo (Bryttani), Caleb Mingo (Lindsay), and Cason Mingo; three great grandchildren, Mason Mingo, Micah Mingo, and Miller Mingo.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery.
