Ware County’s Evan Joiner earned one of Region 1-AAAA highest honors being selected co-Pitcher of the Year in voting by the region’s coaches.
Joining Joiner with all-Region honors were Bryce Dixon, Cole Cox, Seth Suess, Walker Hudson and Slade Sweat.
Hudson and Suess were also recognized as Class AAAA First Team All-State by the Georgia Dugout Club. Sweat, Dixon and Joiner were tabbed Second Team members.
Joiner also received all-Region recognition as an infielder joining three other teammates with dual honors. Dixon was one of five outfielders and one of six pitchers.
Suess was recognized as one of six infielders and named to the list of pitchers. Sweat was named as a utility player and one of three relief pitchers selected.
Cox joined Dixon among the outfielders named.
Ware County head coach Jamie Ammons served as the Class 4A committee representative coordinating the selection for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Club all-state team with a representative coach from the seven other regions across the state.
Players were nominated by their high school coaches and then voted on based on the information gathered by the committee.
The committee included Jamie Wagner of Blessed Trinity, Kyle Tucker of Cartersville, Mike Strickland of Marist, Brent Moseley of Starr's Mill, Eric Bounds of North Oconee, Desmond Stegall of Jackson-Atlanta and Noble Coley of Jones County.
