Bids will be received and opened next month for the county’s $1.6 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project in the Tornado Road, Chapel Drive, Chapel Circle and Murray Hill Road areas.
The grant was awarded in 2023 by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
A public notice is included in this week’s edition of The Times.
Bids will be received in August and will be opened at a called meeting scheduling for 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21.
The grant will be used to make street and drainage improvements in the area.
The CDBG will fund about $1 million and the county will provide about $641,000 in matching funds.
The work will cover about 1.449 miles of roadway on the four roads.
