Fifteen Midway Elementary School students competed at the Beta National Convention in Kissimmee, FL, June 27-29. The competitors placed in five of the events: first place Digital Portfolio (National Champions), third place Apparel, third place Book Battle, fifth place Songfest (out of 38 entries) and eighth place 3D Design Team.
One student also represented our school as a premier performer with the dance team during the first general session.
“The students not only represented Midway Elementary School but all of Pierce County with excellence,” said Principal Brandi Todd. Midway Elementary staff also expressed thanks to sponsors Heather Harper and Lori Taylor for coaching and leading the group of fourth and fifth graders. Gratitude was also extended toward co-sponsors Jeanne Crawford, Jaime Stewart and Lacey Yeomans for helping prepare the students for this opportunity.
