The Ware County Republican Party will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, July 21 at Hog ‘n’ Bones Restaurant, 1900 Memorial Drive, Waycross.
The meeting’s program starts at 6:30 p.m. with Rep. James Burchett (RMillwood), Majority Whip in the Georgia House, guest speaker. The two winners of the gun raffle also will be drawn at this monthly meeting.

Post 621 schedules bookbag giveaway Amvets Post 621 will hold a back to school giveway from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 26 at Bailey Street Park.
The organization will be passing out book bags while they last and have hot dog and drinks. Elementary-age students need to be present with a parent or guardian.
Blood drive set Aug. 15 at MSH
Memorial Satilla Health will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, August 15 on the hospital’s main campus, 1900 Tebeau Street.
Donors are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure the drive is sufficiently staffed and all donor slots are filled. The Blood Connection is currently facilitating Memorial Satilla’s drives.

Lynes, Lyons, and Hickox reunion set The Lynes, Lyons, and Hickox reunion will be held at noon, Saturday, August 9 at the Hoboken Community Center, 294 Chicago Avenue.
Attendees should provide a covered dish or dessert for the luncheon around 1 p.m. They also are urged to bring family photos and information to share with relatives.

Coffee, community meetup Thursdays A Coffee & Community group holds meetups at 8 a.m. the second Thursday of every month at Laura S. Walker State Park.

Community baby shower at MSH Memorial Satilla Health will host the “Nourish & Nurture” community baby shower at 6 p.m., Thursday, August 7 in the hospital’s main lobby, 1900 Tebeau Street .

OHC offers camp on performing arts Okefenokee Heritage Center, 1460 N. Augusta Avenue offers a fall break Performing Arts camp, Monday-Friday, October 13-17.
The camp entitled “Tales From the Swamp,” will have campers rehearse a play about the antics of the critters who live in the Okefenokee Swamp. Alligators, opossums, bears, and even an anhinga will make an appearance.
A performance for family and friends will be held on the last day of camp.
Camp hours are 9 a.m.3 p.m. for ages second grade and up with a limit of 20 participants. Children of OHC members can attend for free. The fee is $60 per family, which includes an OHC family membership.
