– John 14: 1 ***** Fourth Mount Olive Church will celebrate the 28th Pastor’s Anniversary beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 20. The Church is located at 900 Yeomans Street, Blackshear. You are invited to help celebrate Pastor Morris and Denise Pate’s pastor anniversary. Fourth Mount Olive is excited to announce that Youth Pastors Reginald and Krystle Pate of Lillington, NC, will join the celebration and deliver the message. Reginald and Krystle serve as youth pastors at Legacy Church in Wake Forrest NC.
This year’s theme: “Celebrating the Pastor, Teacher, Leader”. A delicious meal will be served after the service. We are looking forward to you helping us celebrate this man of God but importantly, helping us celebrate the God of the man. ***** To our community: The Masterbuilder’s Ministry presents “It ain’t easy as it seems’’ at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Guest speaker are Prophetess Maxine Floyd, Missionary Vaniece Harris, Bishop Johnnie Beveritt, Prophet Collin McQueen, Pastor Ethel Sims, Elder Jacqueline Wallace and Pastor Aquilla Jordan. Guest attraction are The Brown Brothers of Valdosta and the Larry Gospel Singers of Douglas. All are invited to come. Masterbuilder Ardrelle Myles Sutton is the pastor/sponsor of The Masterbuilder Ministry. ***** Session Hill Community Center will be sponsoring a town hall meeting from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 19.
All people are invited to attend to meet with First District County Commissioner Troy Mattox. Commissioner Mattox will be present to address community concerns you may have. The center is located at 3105 Allen Ave., Blackshear.
The center will also be selling breakfast. On the menu will be grits, eggs, bacon, sausage and toast for $10. Come support our community. ***** Union Sunday School will be at Greater St. James AME Church beginning at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 20. The church is located at 626 Cherry Street in Blackshear. Pastor is Evenly Taylor. ***** Pierce County NAACP Chapter 5227B still needs more members to join to restore the organization. It only costs $30 a year to join. Let’s work together.
