Birthing Center Tour July 20
Memorial Satilla Health provides tours of its state-of-the-art labor and delivery unit from 5-7 p.m. at 1900 Tebeau Street Waycross on dates throughout the year.
The 2025 Birthing Center tours are scheduled for July 20, August 2, September 8, October 16 and November 4.
Library board to meet July 23
The Pierce County Library Board will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Pierce County Library.
The meeting is being delayed a week due to a scheduling conflict.
AmVets to meet monthly
The C.C. Stephens Amvets Post 621 will host a back-to-school bookbag giveaway from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Bailey Street Park in Waycross. Free hotdogs and free bookbags will be given away. Elementary age students need to be present for the giveaway. ***** The C.C. Stephens Amvets Post 621 will meet the second Saturday of each month at the post on Ossie Davis Parkway in Waycross. Amvets is open to retired veterans in the area. Pierce Middle open house July 31
Pierce County Middle School will host an open house event for students and parents Thursday, July 31.
Students with last names beginning with A-K attend from 2-3 p.m. Students with last names beginning L-Z attend from 3-4 p.m.
If there are multiple last names in a family please choose the time of your oldest child to attend. Please limit guests to two adults per child.
Memorial Satilla baby shower Aug. 7
Expecting a baby? Memorial Satilla Health will host ‘Nourish & Nurture,’ a community baby shower beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 7, in the Main Lobby, 1900 Tebeau Street Waycross.
