The Blackshear Rotary Club donated a copy of “I Like Me” to every first grade student in the Pierce County School System during the 2024-2025 school year. Each book is a personalized story for the individual student. The book distribution is one of Rotary Club’s annual projects to promote literacy and support students in the community.
Many donors assisted in making the book distribution project possible, including Foundation for Excellence in Education- Pierce, Dan Bennett Jr., Riverbend and Thom’s Transport. The Rotary Club’s corporate member contributions from Compass360 Realty Inc. and the Pierce County School System also help make the annual project a success.
