Blackshear Mayor Keith Brooks was recently elected District 11 Presi dent on the Georg i a Municipal Association (GMA) Executive Board of Directors.
Brooks will serve in the role for GMA’s 2025-26 year. District 11 includes Pierce and 17 other counties in southern Georgia.
He was installed to the post at the convention’s awards luncheon. The Mayor was part of the city’s leadership delegation that participated in the GMA’s annual convention in Savannah June 19-24.
Brooks was first elected Mayor in 2021 and prior to that served as the city council representative for district one.
