Aspinwall investigation update

Aspinwall investigation update
Aspinwall

Pierce County Investigators are making good progress on the Tristin Aspinwall murder case, but no arrests have been made yet.

Sheriff Ramsey Bennett said investigators have been busy tracking down leads and the investigation is “progressing' but declined to specify if an arrest is imminent.

The sheriff’s office has been working the case for over six weeks after Aspinwall, 23, of Blackshear, was found unresponsive near a sideby- side SUV in what was originally believed to be a vehicle accident.

Aspinwall was discovered on a farm access/timber lane in the vicinity of Cleve and Meadow Wood Roads west of Blackshear about 7:15 a.m. Sunday, May 18.

The initial investigation led law enforcement officers to label the death as suspicious. Aspinwall had sustained injuries that were not consistent with a vehicle accident. Later, the death was confirmed to be homicide by a state filed record The Times was granted permission to view.

Bennett and his investigators have declined to provide any additional details of the investigation.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit at (912) 807-2677 or the tip line at (912) 807-TIPS (8477).
