UNDATED — On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the life of Anthony Gerald Walker, 58, was tragically taken from this world.
His loved ones left behind were his wife, Natina Walker; his children, David Archer, Natalie Yarbrough (Christopher), Anthony L. Walker, and Krystal Walker. He was a “Papa” to Simon, Evelyn, Aria, Sop hie, Kimberly, and Skarlett, as well as numerous other non-biological children. Walker was a proud uncle to his nieces, Jennifer and Cheyenne as well as his nephews Shane and Brandon.
Walker spent most of his career in the Navy from 1990 until his retirement in 2010, sailing on the USS Topeka (two tours), USS Pennsylvania and lastly the USS Rhode Island. Serving 20 years in the Navy, he was proud to earn his veteran status. He gave his all in every career path making job families at Clayton Homes and ending with Boyette Electric. Walker left lasting impressions on the lives of many.
Walker was a Ware County resident with family in his birth town of Valdosta. As we honor his life, we take peace in knowing he is joined in heaven by his grandfather, Leon Dowling, his mother Elaine Warren, his sister, Tammy and her husband, Ronnie Joiner, as well as his uncle, Larry Dowling. We take comfort in knowing his mind, body, and soul are at ease.
Walker was a cancer survivor, a veteran, a hard worker, and amazing employee, a loving husband and father as well as a “Papa.” He would want all his friends and loved ones to remember the good times, laughs, and memories as we lay him to rest.
A funeral service was held Saturday, July 5 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. The employees of Boyette Electric served as honorary pallbearers.
