Aglow Lighthouse meets next in Aug.

Waycross Aglow Lighthouse will hold its next worship program at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9 at Our Beloved Church, 1700 Osceola Avenue.

Suicide Prevention Walk set Sept. 13 The Second Annual Suicide Prevention Walk will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, September 13 at Remnant Church of God, 3205 Memorial Drive.

There will be a host of activities in addition to the walk, which will begin about 6:30. Scheduled activities include finger and nail painting, free hot dogs, chips and drinks, an ice cream truck, gift drawings, guest speakers, information booths and Kimber Creations.

All proceeds benefit Daniel Smile, Inc., which contributes to the Daniel Bennett Scholarship. The grant is warded annually to a local high school senior.

Hortense slates annual camp meet Hortense Wesleyan Camp, 395 Tabernacle Road, holds its 120th Annual Camp Meeting Thursday-Sunday, July 24-August 3.

The first service will be at 7:30 p.m. July 24 followed by programs at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. through August 2. The closing serviced will be at 11 a.m. August 3.

The Rev. Ralph Clayton and the Rev. George Holley will be the evangelists for the meetings. Arthur and Michelle Sharpe will be song evangelists.

DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Pineview Baptist VBS begins July 13

Pineview Baptist Church, 4487 Pine View Church Road in Waresboro, holds Vacation Bible School, Sunday-Thursday, July 13-17.

Theme of the program for ages 3-15 is “Magnified Fun: Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Thngs.” There will be Bible study, music, crafts, recreation, and food nightly from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

There also will be a class for adults. The program closes with family night Thursday, July 17.

River of Life starts resource program River of Life Church, 1439 Brunel Street, offers a community resource center from 10 a.m. to noon, the fourth Friday of each month.

The River Missions program will offer practical life skills, hot meals, clothing and more. Next session is July 25.

Way of Cross EPC has food giveaway Way of the Cross EPC holds a free food and clothing giveaway at 8 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at 512 Lee Avenue.
