Hickox
WAYCROSS — Mrs. Jean Logan Hickox, 95, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at her residence in Waycross following an extended illness.
Mrs. Hickox was born in Ware County to the late Walter Eugene Howard and Julia Ree Hucka b y Howard. She retired in 1984 from Bellsouth Telep hone Company as a telephone operator after 34 years of employment.
Mrs. Hickox was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hickox was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lonnie Hickox; her first husband, Albert Logan; a son, Billy Logan, Jr.; a daughter- in-law, Debbie Lance Logan; and two sisters, Jewell Grant and Margaret Crosby.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janice Logan Deal (late Terry) of Waycross and Janelle Logan Griffin (late Preacher) of Waycross; two sons, Ashley Logan Hickox (Michelle Bradley) of Waycross and Chad Logan Hickox of Waycross; two step-children, Ronnie Hickox (Rita) of Tennessee and Ann Jones (Johnny) of Hoboken; three grandchildren, Kim Deal, Amy Deal Black (Shane), and Tara Brandi Griffin; eight great grandchildren, Cayleigh Chadwell Dinkins (Russell Dinkins), Hannah Kate Chadwell, Ridge Bennett, Jake Bennett, Brooke Hickox, Ian Hickox, Phoenix Carter, and Caden Anderson; a sister, Georgia Mae Courson of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church.
Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
