Chronicles of
Dear Readers,
Now that I have fully recovered from my various injuries and recent accidents, I am ready to get back into the swing of things…..that means shopping. While indisposed, I discovered a new way to shop that I have highly embraced, online shopping!
I am late to this game, but I feel many of you out there have mastered it long ago. Even if you don’t actually buy anything, you can do a thorough investigation of the product in mind and compare reviews and availability without running all over the place.
The product under investigation this week is hot air fryers. Our old and dearly loved one became a hazard when pieces of the basket handle started breaking away causing the basket to trap the food inside and start a lock down. Try as I might, I was beginning to wonder if I would be able to free the batch of French fries trapped inside before the darn thing caught on fire or worse yet, exploded! Then, with no warning the basket flew open and tossed my beloved French fries on the kitchen floor creating a slippery, greasy mess. Since falls have been on my injury list of late, I decided to mop the area before I slipped down and ended up in the ER. No French fry is worth a broken hip! By the time you read this, I imagine I will be frying away (no oil needed) with my purchase from Rhett’s Amazon Prime account. That’s the other plus, he pays!
The only drawback is porch thieves. I have a solution for that. Since our street has lots of foot traffic, when it’s nearing time of delivery, I have been known to sit in my rocker and just wait for my package. I thought about buying a BB gun for my lap but probably shouldn’t because I would not hesitate to use it if the need arose!
Next week, I will give you instructions on the correct way to pick up and toss a large bag of mulch! I’m sure you will be eager to hear about that one! Sincerely,
Scarlett
P.S. Be sure to watch out for roofing nails if you get a new roof done. That’s why they have little bright red tabs on them so you can see them and AVOID stepping on them. I should write a safety manual for seniors!
