Midway Elementary presents at Model School Conference in Washington, D.C.

Midway Elementary’s administrators were presenters at the 2025 Model Schools Conference in Washington D.C. last week. Shown l-r are Principal Dr. Brandi Todd, Assistant Principal Theresa Alonso and Assistant Principal Cole Walsh. Last year, only 13 elementary schools across the nation were selected for this distinction. Model Schools are selected and recognized for their efforts to promote high expectations for all students and are invited to share their stories of success with other schools across the nation to inspire others. While in DC, Dr. Todd, Alonso and Walsh also found a little time after the conference to explore the area and get pics for the students. The Model School award is the third national level award the school has received. In addition to the Model School, Midway also recognized as a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School and a 2023 National ESEA Distinguished School.
