Eight Pierce County residents were among the 2,000 students named to Valdosta State University's Spring 2025 dean's list.
They include: Kimberly Stephens, Allie Carter, Zoey Morris, Michaela Stone, Jade Davlin, Kenzie Meeks, Becky Thigpen and Jonah Allen, all of Blackshear To qualify for dean's list at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Students enrolled in 12 or more semester hours of study with a grade point average of 4.0 are placed on the President’s List for the semester. Students with a semester average of 3.5 to 3.9 on 12 or more semester hours of study are placed on the Dean’s List for that semester. Students enrolled in 5 to 11 semester hours of study with a grade point average of 3.5 or better are listed on the Academic Honors List for that semester.

College of Coastal Georgia Four Pierce County students earned academic honors at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick during the spring 2025 semester.

To be named to the president’s list, a student must be enrolled in at least 12 hours of course work and achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 4.00 for the term. Students named to the dean’s list achieved a GPA of between 3.5 to 3.99 while enrolled in at least six hours in the given term.
