Ware students on CCG honor list
Six students from Ware County earned places on the The College of Coastal Georgia President’s List for high academic performance during the 2025 spring semester.
To be named to the President’s List, a student must be enrolled in at least 12 hours of course work and achieve a 4.0 GPA for the term.
Ware County students achieving that distinction were Alyssa Crowe, Danielle McCullough, Raj Patel, Jessica Rendon, Rebecca Richards, and Jarrett Rowell.
Smyrna Cemetery seeks donations
Smyrna Cemetery Association is seeking donations for upkeep of the grounds and church.
Donations may be made to the Smyrna Cemetery Association and mailed to Barbara Norris, 601 Buck Lake Road, Nahunta, 31533.

Chamber seeks hosts for events
The Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce is compiling its list of hosts for its Rise ‘n’ Shine and Business After Hours meetings for 2025.
Rise ‘n’ Shine is held at 7:45 a.m. and Business After Hours at 5 p.m., each once every month.
Businesses interested in being a host for one or both of the events in the coming year can email chamber@waycrosschamber. org.
Chick-fil-a aids Sanders programs
Chick-fil-a on Memorial Drive holds a community care event from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 26, donating a portion of its proceeds from sales to the Kennedy L. Sanders Foundation.
There will be a block party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. that will include treats, giveaways and photos with the Chick-fil-a cow.
Breakfast & bingo at Ware Rec. Dept.
The Ware County Recreation Department is offering breakfast and bingo for senior citizens each Wednesday and Friday at the Trembling Earth Sports Complex, 2100 Cecil Brown Drive.
