WAYCROSS — Mr. Robert M. Dixon, 65, passed away suddenly Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health.

He was born in Waycross to the late James Thomas Dixon, Sr. and Bessie Mae Petty Dixon. He was the owner and operator of R.M. Dixon Properties. He had formerly owned Waycross Ice and was the longtime manager of Waycross Car Wash. He also was a member of the Waycross Okefenokee Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Thomas Dixon, Jr. and Floyd Dixon.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Dixon of Waycross; a son, Raymond Howard (Kisha) of Waycross; a daughter, Barbara Dixon of Waycross; three grandchildren, Sarahbeth Howard, Abbygale Howard, and Peyton Dixon; five sisters, Elnetta Smith of Vidalia, Alene Sampson of Snellville, Ga., Nancy Hayes of Anchorage, Alaska, Alma Taylor of Tennessee, and Linda Strickland of Tennessee; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 9 to 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 25) at Music Funeral Home.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind by going online to www.glcb.org Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.musicfuneralhome.c om.
