Emmanuel’s International Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and its pastor, Bishop Dr. Michael-Angelo James, recently selected 2025 Pierce County graduate Breana James as recipient of the annual Juanita Paulk James Education Scholarship. The honoree plans to use the $500 grant while studying at Georgia Southern to major in Multimedia Journalism and Multimedia and Film Production. The daughter of Deidre and Rafeal James graduated from PCHS with a 3.3 grade point average and submitted a 1,000-word essay on the topic: “My Career Goals and How I Will Use My Success to Give Back to My Community Spiritually, Socially, and Economically” as part of the grant’s application process. The scholarship is awarded in honor of Dr. James’ late mother, a longtime educator in the area.
