The Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Legislative Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., today (Wednesday June 25) at the C.C. McCray City Auditorium, 865 Pendleton Street.
Republican State Representatives James Burchett (District 176) and John Corbett (D-174) along with GOP Senators Mike Hodges (D-3) and Russ Goodman (D-8) will discuss this spring’s session of the General Assembly. Lunch will be until noon with the question and answer session with the lawmakers through 1:30.
Cost is $10 per person or $80 to reserve a table of eight. Call the chamber at (912) 283-3742.
OATH changes operating hours
The Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless has changed its hours.
The new hours are 9 a.m.-l p.m. weekdays. Lunch is served to homeless clients from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
