The City of Nahunta will celebrate its 100-year birthday with an eight-day celebration beginning Monday, July 21.
Many of the weekday events will be held downtown in the afternoons starting with the Opening Ceremony from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Tuesday, July 22 is Cultural Day starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Kids Day is Wednesday, July 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The City of Nahunta is looking for 1920s to 1980s clothing for display only. Call City Hall if you have any from yesteryear.
An Art Expo & Wine Tasting is scheduled for Thursday, July 24 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. A Car Show is slated for Friday, July 25 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
A Centennial Parade and Block Party is Saturday, July 26 starting at 10 a.m. There will be a Community-Wide Service and Gospel Sing Sunday, July 27 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
Gospel bands are needed. Contact City Hall.
Festivities will close Monday, July 28 with a Closing Ceremony running from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
