Blackshear High School Class of 1964 held its 61st reunion recently at Lakeview Golf Club in Blackshear.
Mary Ann Page did a beautiful job decorating in the school colors of black and gold.
A large photo of the senior class and a picture from the class trip were featured along with a table displaying the pictures of deceased classmates. Classmates agreed the photo display brought back many good memories.
Mike Williamson did a great job leading the group. He shared why some classmembers were not able to come due to illness and other reasons. He hasn’t changed much. He kept everyone’s attention with laughter. Billy Cochran blessed the food.
A delicious meal was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Gail Walker for arranging Angeleek Bostick for catering.
After dinner, everyone enjoyed visiting and remembering old times. We missed all that were unable to come but also enjoyed seeing some who had not been able to come in a long time.
These reunions are mostly just a time of sharing old times and everyone being together.
Prior to the reunion there was a large group that met at Smokehouse 84 Barbeque for lunch.
