Protesters gathered in major Georgia cities and smaller cities and towns for the “No Kings Day of Defiance” protest against President Donald Trump’s administration to reject authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics and the militarization of the country’s democracy, according to a statement by organizers. Between 75-100 held signs while sporting American flags in Waycross for the two-hour event, one of 22 confirmed sites in Georiga, along Memorial Drive between Checkers and Hog and Bones under the watchful eye of a Waycross Police Department officer. There were protests in more than 2,000 cities across the U.S.
